about

A personal reflection on sound between the north and south of the world. The influences of experimental European jazz and electronic music blend with a club attitude, filtering through African and southern Italian rhythms and sounds. A journey that follows the terrestrial meridians at different latitudes: from Lapland to Senegal, with the Mediterranean in the middle as a bridge. In short, an approach that expands and naturally converges the concept of Trans-Atlantic music dear to Asiko.

"These tracks take me to those places where music is part of every person's body, where there is no musician and listener, but everyone is involved in the production and everyone finds their own voice. I find myself in a distant country, a noisy territory, where the sound of nature dominates everything. " There are many influences that make up the work: Cyma's jazz training found in the harmonic arrangements, the experience as a producer and sound designer to whom we owe the religious and experimental quality of the sound, the passion for post-rock that we can find in the explosive dynamics. Seven tracks in indirect communication with each other, a very light sound monolith. A coherent narration that captures the listener in depth, transporting him through space and time and making him immerse in a utopian world in which opposites complement each other.

As in Asiko Sounds style, the production of the work was shared by Cyma in every step with Giulio Pecci and Ivan Specchio: from the musical production to the graphic project, collaboration and a laboratory of ideas were the basis of every step and every decision. A relationship that starts from the uniqueness of the artist and that by safeguarding it tries to push him even further, making him collide in a natural and stimulating way with Asiko's themes.
