Swordman Kitala is a young MC from Uganda's capital, Kampala. Swordman is affiliated with Ugandan collective Nyege Nyege, a creative volcano, a multi-disciplinary and multi-genre laboratory where some of the most interesting artistic expressions of the African continent meet.⠀

Lorenzo BITW is one of the most talented DJs and producers of his generation. Artistically raised in London, but currently living in Rome, he has been a regular guest of BBC Radio, Rinse.Fm, Radar Radio and NTS for years. 2018’s "Love Junction" was his debut album, released on the American label Friends of Friends - Shlohmo, Groundislava, Indian Wells.⠀

The partnership between the two blossomed online, thanks to a digging session by Lorenzo during which he found Swordman's music. Swordman took part in Lorenzo’s latest single, "Basta", released by London's label Future Bounce. Lorenzo then produced two songs specifically for Swordman, in which his charismatic flow inspired by great dancehall artists such as Vybz Kartel is definitely on display. Here they are: Anda and Okikuba!

Anda means "under" in Patois, the English based language spoken in Jamaica and the caribbean. Here you can really here Swordman Kitala talent, and the clear influence of Jamaican music on his flow. The whole track is an unapologetic invitation to dance, both in the words of Swordman and the stellar production from Lorenzo_BITW, between afrobeats and a more European club feeling.

Okikuba means "beat it" in Bantu, the most spoken language in Uganda.
This track shows a different side both of Swordman and Lorenzo. You can really here Lorenzo's UK influences in producing, resulting in an almost garage and grime flavor. Swordman surfs above the track as always, pushing himself further in evolving his style.
